What Happens at Your First Visit
Your new patient appointment is 30 minutes. Here's how it goes:
Health History
Dr. Britt reviews your intake form and asks about your symptoms, history, what's helped, what hasn't, and what your goals are. This takes 5–8 minutes and shapes everything that follows.
Functional Movement Assessment
Using the SFMA protocol, Dr. Britt evaluates how you move through a series of controlled patterns. This reveals where your movement system is breaking down and what's driving the pain — not just where it hurts.
Findings & Plan
Dr. Britt explains exactly what she found — in plain English — and lays out a clear care plan. No vague timelines, no pressure. Just an honest picture of what's going on and what it will take to fix it.
First Adjustment
In most cases, Dr. Britt performs your first adjustment in the same visit. You will not leave without treatment having started.
What to Bring
- ✓ Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing you can move in
- ✓ Your insurance card (if using insurance)
- ✓ List of current medications
- ✓ Any relevant imaging reports (X-ray, MRI) — not required, but helpful if you have them
- ✓ Arrive 5–10 minutes early to complete your intake paperwork
